벚꽃과 매화 개화시기와 구분방법 [ How to tell the difference between cherry blossoms and plum blossoms ]

3월 봄이 되면서 따스한 햇살이 내리쬐고 있습니다.

이맘때쯤이면 봄을 알리는 전령사로 꽃을 생각할 수 있는데 그 중 대표적인 꽃으로 벚꽃과 매화가 있습니다.

하지만 많은 분들이 벚꽃과 매화를 구분하기 어려워하시는 경우가 있습니다.

매화꽃을 보고 벚꽃이라고 하시는 분들이 많으시기에 오늘은 벚꽃과 매화의 구분방법 그리고 구분방법 중 하나에 해당하는 개화시기에 대해 포스팅 해 보겠습니다.

The warm sunshine is coming down as March spring begins in March.
Around this time of year, I can think of flowers as heralds spring, and the representative flowers are cherry blossoms and apricots.
However, many people find it difficult to tell the difference between cherry blossoms and plum blossoms.
There are a lot of people who say cherry blossoms are cherry blossoms, so today, I will post about the time of enlightenment, which is one of the ways to distinguish between cherry blossoms and plum blossoms.

위 사진들중 왼쪽에 있는 사진은 벚꽃이고, 오른쪽 사진이 매화입니다.

아시는 분들은 아시겠지만 대부분의 사람들은 매화꽃을 보고 벚꽃이라고 하시는 분들이 많습니다.

그러면 벚꽃과 매화의 차이에 대해서 알아보겠습니다.

차이점이 보이시나요?

벚꽃은 꽃잎이 뾰족한 느낌이 있고, 매화는 매끄러운 모양이 있습니다.

그러면 실물로 비교를 해보겠습니다.

위 사진을 보면 벚꽃(왼쪽), 매화(오른쪽)에 대해 자세히 설명을 해 놓았습니다.

벚꽃은 꽃잎끝에 홈이 파였고, 꽃받침이 별모양이며, 꽃자루가 깁니다.

반면 매화는 꽃잎끝이 둥그렇고, 꽃받침이 넓고, 꽃자루가 짧은 편입니다.

그리고 나무같은 경우는 벚꽃은 밝은 회색이며, 매화는 검은 갈색에 가깝습니다.

이 외에도 향과 개화시기로도 구분을 할 수 있습니다.

 

If you look at the picture above, I've described the cherry blossoms (left) and the plum blossoms (right).
The cherry blossoms are grooved at the end of the petals, the flower cup is shaped like a star, and the flower sacks are long.
On the other hand, plum flower has round petals, wide flower support, and short flower buds.
And for trees, cherry blossoms are bright gray, and plum flowers are more like black brown.

In addition, scents and blooming periods can be distinguished.

벚꽃은 향이 거의 없는 반면에 매화는 향이 강합니다.

그리고 벚꽃은 3월 중순~ 4월 중순에 피고, 매화는 2월 하순 ~ 3월 하순에 개화합니다.

이렇게 봤을때 벚꽃과 매화가 같이 피는 3월 중순, 하순에 꽃구경을 하기에 최적의 시기인듯 합니다.

And the cherry blossoms bloom between mid-March and mid-April, and the plum blossoms bloom between late February and late March.
From this perspective, it seems to be the best time to see flowers in mid-March and late-March when cherry blossoms and plum blossoms bloom together.

오늘은 이렇게 벚꽃과 매화에 대해서 알아보았습니다.

지금 피어있는 꽃이 있다면 매화꽃일 확률이 높겠네요.

하지만 이상기온 현상으로 겨울철에도 개나리가 피는 경우가 있기 때문에 꼭 지금 핀 꽃이 매화꽃이라는 장담은 못하겠습니다.

슬슬 꽃구경 하는 시기인데 코로나19로 인해서 올해는 꽃구경하기가 참 힘들거 같습니다.

가끔 동네에 피어있는 벚꽃과 매화꽃을 보며 하루빨리 코로나19 사태가 종식되기를 희망해 봅니다.

Today, we learned about cherry blossoms and plum blossoms.
If there's a flower that's blooming now, it's more likely that it's a plum flower.
However, we cannot guarantee that the flower bloomed now is the plum flower because there are times when the forsythia blooms even in winter due to abnormal temperatures.
It's almost time to see flowers. Due to Covid-19, it's going to be very hard to see flowers this year.
Sometimes I look at cherry blossoms and plum blossoms in the neighborhood and hope that the Covid-19 crisis will end as soon as possible.
